Malham Cove
Malham Cove Skipton BD23 4DA

Malham Cove is a spectacular curved limestone cliff formation of huge proportions, situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Standing at 260 feet high, it was formed by a massive waterfall carrying meltwater from glaciers at the end of the last Ice Age. At the top of the cove is a world-famous limestone pavement, a unique geological feature of deep fissures that looks like a giant chessboard. It is a premier social destination for hikers, climbers, and nature lovers, offering some of the most breathtaking panoramic views in Northern England.
