Railway History

Brampton Valley Heritage

Restored from dereliction in the 1980s, the Northampton & Lamport Railway preserves a section of the vital Victorian artery that once linked the Midlands with the North. It is a rare example of a railway successfully co-existing with a long-distance cycling and walking trail on the same corridor.
