St Anne's Cathedral, also known as Belfast Cathedral, is a magnificent Romanesque landmark in the heart of the city's Cathedral Quarter. Completed in sections between 1899 and 1904, it is unique for serving two separate dioceses and for its soaring "Spire of Hope," which was added in 2007. The interior is celebrated for its incredible mosaic work, particularly in the Baptistery, and its impressive black and white marble flooring. As a site of national memory and social gathering, the cathedral provides a peaceful and grand sanctuary that reflects Belfast's resilience and its ongoing journey towards peace and reconciliation.
